"Think Tank Dialogue" of China-South Asia International Cultural Forum held online

BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- "Think Tank Dialogue on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges" of the 9th China-South Asia International Cultural Forum was held Friday via video link.

The dialogue, with the theme of "advancing Asian civilization and promoting peace and development," attracted more than 200 participants from think tanks, universities and media of the two sides.

Lin Songtian, head of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), said in the opening remarks that the Belt and Road cooperation has already and will continue to bring tangible benefits and well-being to all countries in the world, especially South Asian countries and people, and promote the common prosperity of the region and the world.

"China's commitment to a higher level of opening-up and high-quality development will provide new opportunities and broad prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and common development among countries in the region and the world," he added.

Representatives spoke highly of the forum, voicing support for the hosting of the dialogue on schedule in face of the severe situation of the pandemic and the world going through profound changes unprecedented in a century.

The dialogue was co-organized by CPAFFC and the government of Yunnan Province. Enditem
