WELLINGTON, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand reported one new case of COVID-19 at the border, the Ministry of Health said in a statement on Saturday.

The new case was a recent returnee who tested positive in managed isolation, while there was no new case in the wider community, said the ministry.

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country stood at 66 and the total number of confirmed cases reached 2,016.

The total number of tests processed by New Zealand laboratories to date was 1,701,362.

The general public in New Zealand was urged to keep up with contact tracing.

"It's critical to keep track of where you've been and the COVID Tracer app is an easy way to do this. Please continue to scan QR codes wherever you go and turn on Bluetooth tracing in the app dashboard if you haven't already done so," said the ministry.

New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level One with no restriction on social gatherings. Enditem
